James is the founder and CEO of Innovative, has dedicated his entire career in the landscape and construction industry. His passion lies in transforming outdoor spaces, solving complex landscape and infrastructure challenges, and helping clients bring their visions to life. Through his leadership and commitment to excellence, James has built Innovative into a company known for quality workmanship, innovation, and exceptional customer service.

Throughout his career, James has earned multiple industry awards and certifications, reflecting his dedication to professional growth and excellence within the landscape and construction industries. He is actively involved in several industry organizations that focus on education, collaboration, and the advancement of the trades. Passionate about sharing knowledge and supporting the next generation of professionals, James regularly mentors young people entering the industry and contributes his experience to help others develop successful careers in landscaping, construction, and business leadership.

Giving back is a core value for James. He regularly volunteers both his personal time and company resources to support community projects, charitable initiatives, youth programs, and local organizations throughout Torrington and the surrounding communities.

Whether through sponsorships, volunteer efforts, or hands-on involvement, James believes strongly in investing in the people and communities that have supported both him and the company over the years. His commitment to community service remains an important part of his personal values and a guiding principle of Innovative’s culture.

When he is not involved in the day-to-day operations of the business, James has a passion for operating heavy equipment, working alongside his crews in the field, and finding innovative ways to improve both company operations and the construction industry as a whole. He proudly serves as a Global Ambassador for Steelwrist Tiltrotators, participating in many events throughout North America. Through this role, he has had the opportunity to take part in live webinars, speak at training sessions, and demonstrate equipment at industry trade shows and events across the United States and Europe.

James also recently joined Ford Trucks as an ambassador for Ford’s FinSimple program. His enthusiasm for equipment, trucks, technology, and operational efficiency has earned him recognition and respect throughout the industry.

He is continually seeking new ways to embrace innovation, improve productivity, and help move the industry forward Outside of work, James is a devoted husband and father to three children. He hopes to inspire in them the same passion for hard work, entrepreneurship, and the importance of family that has shaped his own life.

Together, they enjoy spending their summers working on their homestead, participating in farming activities, vacationing in Cape Cod, and creating lasting family memories.
